ORFER STACKING AND PALLETIZING CELL FOR CARTON BLANKS

Automate carton blank stacking and palletizing with a robust automation system

Orfer’s Stacking and Palletizing Cell for Carton Blanks is designed to automate the stacking and palletizing process for carton blanks on production lines. The system receives the blanks, processes them efficiently, and places them onto pallets. This ensures consistent stack quality, reduces manual labor, and improves workplace ergonomics.

The system receives carton blanks from the printing line and die-cutter. The blanks are formed into a shingled flow, which is transferred to an elevating conveyor. On the elevating conveyor, the flow of blanks is directed to continuous stacking units that create uniform stacks. The stacks are then placed onto a stack conveyor.

The stack conveyors transport the stacks to the robot's pick-up area. The robot grips the stack with a mechanical gripper, straightens it, and, if necessary, turns it upside down. The straightened and uniform stacks are then transferred onto pallets.

Empty pallets are supplied in stacks to the pallet magazine, which feeds individual pallets to the palletizing conveyors. Complete pallets are moved out of the cell via a pallet conveyor, where they can be picked up by a forklift, AGV, or other transport system.
